Not only is Northern Maine known for its beautiful snowmobile trails, but also it's ATV Trails.  There are just as much , if not more trails for ATV riders as there are for snowmobiles.  I myself have just bought myself and ATV and am loving it!!  It is well worth the trip trailering them up here to ride.
